Abstract—This paper focuses on a novel idea of using DC motor model-based to build Forward and Inverse Model of internal model control (IMC) method for brushless DC motor (BLDC) speed control. This contribution reduces large amount of calculation compared to using BLDC motor model-based but it still achieves all positive characteristics of IMC method. In detail, the robustness of IMC method for BLDC speed control is compared between the traditional BLDC model-based and the novel DC model-based on MatLAB Simulink environment.
